DESCRIBE YOUR JOURNEY TO REAL ESTATE.

My journey into real estate was inspired by my late uncle, a successful broker in San Carlos. Following his guidance, I joined Fox & Carskadon Better Homes and Gardens, where I gained invaluable experience working under a top broker while earning my real estate license. After a few years, the company was purchased by a national brand. I stayed on for another year before deciding to open my own brokerage, which I successfully ran for over 20 years.

Before venturing into real estate, I held a diverse range of jobs, including construction, health club management, and interning at a large stock brokerage firm in San Francisco. Transitioning to residential real estate felt like a natural progression. It was a challenging learning curve yet rewarding to help my clients with the biggest purchase of their lives. Over time, I expanded my expertise beyond residential real estate to include commercial properties, land development, right-of-way projects, and telecommunications infrastructure.

 

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN IN THE REAL ESTATE INDUSTRY?

Originally licensed in 1990 and became a broker in 1997.

 

DO YOU SPECIALIZE IN A SPECIFIC CITY OR CITIES?

Initially, I focused on serving the Mid-Peninsula region of San Mateo County, from Millbrae to Menlo Park. Over the years, I've expanded my services throughout the Bay Area, but my primary area of expertise remains the Mid Peninsula.

 

WHICH AREAS DO YOU FOCUS ON?

Primarily residential properties.

Every day brings something new. I have the privilege of mentoring agents and supporting their success, while also working closely with my client base. It's the best of both worlds. No two transactions are ever alike, and no two days are ever the same.

I was raised in San Mateo/Foster City.
 

WHERE CAN WE FIND YOU WHEN YOU'RE NOT WORKING?

During the summer, beach and boating, during the winter, I enjoy snowboarding.

WHO INSPIRES YOU AND WHY?

After my dad passed away, my mom was left to raise three kids on her own. She was conservative and risk-averse, always recommending that we play it safe. However, my sister Mona encouraged me to take calculated risks. Without her, I would have never learned to surf, skateboard, ride BMX, or play football.

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU'D LIKE TO TELL PEOPLE ABOUT YOURSELF?

Even after many years in the real estate business, I still get excited about helping people and negotiating winning offers. The phrase "practice makes perfect" resonates with me every day.

Family, friends, great connections, fine living & dining.

Attend auto racing school and push the limits driving an open-wheeled racecar.
