TELL US ABOUT YOUR JOURNEY TO REAL ESTATE. WHY DID YOU BECOME A REAL ESTATE AGENT?
I have been a salesman and entrepreneur since I was a kid. I sold newspaper subscriptions door to door at 14 years old. I started in real estate working for a mentor real estate investor. I started managing short term rentals in 2012, growing to 75 units, started buying properties in 2017, growing to 19 properties(utilizing traditional loans DSCR and owner finance techniques) then started flipping properties with various partners in 2023, completing my 8th, 9th and 10th flips in 2025. 2025 was the year I finally got my real estate license so I can start to help other investors make money.
How long have you been in the real estate industry?
12 years managing, 7 years investing, and one month as an agent.
Do you have any notable achievements/awards/sales volume?
$8M gross sales in flips/investment properties sold in 2023-2024 with $5M more coming in 2025.
If you are new to real estate, does anything from your previous job help you as an agent?
My previous work as a short term rental property manager gives me a keen understanding of investor sentiment.
Which areas do you focus on and do you specialize in a specific city or cities?
I focus on investment properties and specialize in Richmond, Berkeley, Oakland, and other parts of the Bay Area.
What most excites you about your work?
I love learning every day, getting better at construction, home repairs, sales and profit.
What are three words your clients would use to describe you?
Determined, hard working, friendly.

Describe your involvement with any organizations
I have dedicated time to my kids school governance council at Berkeley Arts Magnet elementary school. I have been to hundreds of real estate investor meetups.
Where have you lived? And where do you live now? Where did you go to school/ college and what did you study?
I grew up in Berkeley, CA, currently live in Richmond, CA, and have previously lived in Japan for 3 years, I do speak, read and write basic Japanese, got married and had my first child in Japan. I got a Bachelors degree in business administration from Cal State East Bay.
What do you look for in a neighborhood?
I look for safety, cleanliness, charm and convenience in neighborhoods.
What Bay Area city would you like to live in and why?
I would like to live in Berkeley so my kids could walk to school. I would also love to live in Croker Highlands area of Oakland because there are large beautiful homes and it is only minutes from Lake Shore shopping district. I would also enjoy living on the ocean in Pacifica because its beautiful as well.
What are the five things you cannot live without?
I can not live without wifi, my laptop and my new cell phone. I cant live without my Bluetooth headphones so I can work and enjoy conversations and audio learning as much as possible, while keeping my hands free while I walk my fabulous two French Bulldogs everyday.
Where can we find you when you're not working?
You can find me walking my dogs at Albany bulb or Point Pinole with my wife, at my sons football game at Berkeley high on Friday night or watching my daughter at one of her exciting soccer games or wrestling matches.
What is one of your dream vacations?
Four Seasons Bali (same resort Richard Branson went with Barack Obama).
What would you say to a 5- year-old child if he or she asked you what the purpose of life is?
The purpose of life is to be the best you can be doing what you love, giving yourself to the people you love.
What was the happiest moment in your life?
I don't have a single happiest moment. I have 1000 happiest moments seeing my family happy while I am happy doing what I love as an entrepreneur.
If you could be any animal, what would it be and why?
I would be an a hawk that can fly far and stay away from danger.
Who inspires you and why?
Richard Williams, Serena and Venus Williams father because he was able to work hard to help his children find incredible success.
Which sitcom character do you relate to most?
Ted Lasso is supposed to be the project manager, I have not seen the show much but from what I heard, that might be who I am trying to be.
What is the strangest activity on your bucket list?
To visit places most people don't want to visit, for example - the poorest places all over the world - just to have a perspective and when I'm able would love to help people in those place.
